Nadine Belken
FARMINGTON – Nadine Edith May Belken of Farmington passed away on January 26, 2004, at Parkland Health Center, at the age of 85 years. She was born on May 22, 1918, at Fredericktown, the daughter of the late John and Wilhelmima Caroline (Tawfall) Kessler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Shelby “Chuck” Belken, son, Paul Albert Belken, brother, Carl Kessler and two sisters, Iloe Hovis and Minnie Downs.
Mrs. Belken was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington. She worked at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Copeland and husband Larry of St. Charles, and Margie Burnette and husband Terry of Farmington, son, Carl Belken of Fulton, sister, Rosina Osborne of Fredericktown, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2004. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor James King officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery.
