Madison County Farm Bureau donates to Livestock Pavilion construction
A.B.C 4-H Club adds $25.00 to the donation.
Madison County Farm Bureau President Keith Myers presented a check in the amount of $825.00 to the Madison County Extension Council on Wednesday January 28, 2004. Accepting the donation was Extension Council President Henry Vincent. On hand were Madison County Clerk Joan Whitener and Small Farm Advisor Mike Belken.
The money will be used to help build a livestock pavilion at Wanda Priest Park in Fredericktown.
Supplies and materials have already been donated by the Azalea Board.
Members of the A.B.C. 4-H Club also donated $25.00 in funds raised by the children through their own efforts.
The livestock pavilion will be used for livestock shows during the year for both adults and youth.
When not in use for livestock shows, the pavilion has been designed with removable cattle panels so the community can use the facility for other interests according to County Program Director Celeste Vanderbrugen.
Myers works as Customer Service Coordinator at Black River Electric Co-op.
