You can get a pretty good look at area students’ intelligence and creativity by checking out the Mineral Area College Math and Science Fair on Saturday morning in the MAC Fieldhouse.
The displays will be open to the public in the MAC Field House from 2-3 p.m. Saturday.
The 21st annual fair, organized by the Math and Science Departments at the college, brings out the best and the brightest students in the Mineral Area to compete in eight different categories for judging: behavioral and social sciences; chemistry; earth sciences; computer sciences; biology; mathematics; physics and engineering. There is also a T-shirt design contest.
All participants who attend the fair will receive a T-shirt and a certificate of participation, and one high school senior will walk away with a scholarship to Mineral Area College.
