Bismarck Aldermen approve business license for firearm sales

BISMARCK — The Bismarck Board of Aldermen meeting Thursday was short and sweet as there were just two new business items.

The board approved a business license for Carl Bennett. Bennett will be selling firearms out of his residence. The board also opened up bids for the sale of a Ford truck. Charles Youngblood had the winning bid of $250.

Alan Williams addressed the board concerning reserving Sundale Park. Williams requested to reserve the park on June 12 for a gospel singing for the American Cancer Society. The board approved Williams’ request.

During the Depot Restoration Report it was discussed that St. Francois County Presiding Commissioner Jim Henson has offered to assist the restoration group in applying for some grants to raise funds for restoration of the city landmark.
