Dave Gorse
Dave Gorse, 71, of Marquand died March 13, 2004 at Jefferson Barracks Veterans Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born September 19, 1932 at Marquand, Missouri, a son of the late Joseph and Louise (Wagner) Gorse.
Also preceding him in death was a son, Paul David Gorse; and a brother, Richard Gorse.
Mr. Gorse is survived by his wife, Shirley (Kleinschmidt) Gorse of Marquand; one daughter, Nora Bollinger of Imperial, Missouri; three sons, Perry Gorse of Arnold, Missouri, Timothy Gorse of Festus, Missouri and Daniel Gorse of Texarkana, Texas; brothers, Joe Gorse of Arcadia, Missouri, John Gorse of St. Louis, and Lewis Gorse of Marquand; and five sisters, Florence Griffon of Imperial, Louise Falch of Womack, Missouri, Carolyn Wreath of Cottage Hills, Illinois, Madlyn Chandler of Pevely, Missouri and Linda Yount of Fredericktown.
Mr. Gorse had ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gorse was a retired bricklayer with Gorse Bricklaying Company.
He served in Korea with the U.S. Army
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gravelton, Missouri and the American Legion.
Services were held March 17, 2004 at Vinyard Funeral Home of Festus, Missouri. Also held at Zion Lutheran Church in Gravelton with Pastor Rick Petty officiating.
Interment with Full Military Honors at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gravelton.
Patricia Ann Price
Patricia Ann Price daughter of the late Dorothy Wengler and Robert Hand was born in Fredericktown, Missouri. She departed this life at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on January 24, 2004, having attained the age of 63 years, six months and one day.
In September of 1959 Patricia was united in marriage to Roy Price. Patricia was a member of the Fredericktown Catholic Church. Pat liked to drag race with her husband, Roy. And her other hobbies included knitting and reading.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hand and step-dad Richard; Dorothy Spear; and one brother, Gary Spear.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Roy of Ellington; two sons, William Roy (Skip) Price III and his wife Sherry of Burnsflat, Oklahoma; Ben Price and his wife Sherry of Ellington; one daughter, Kathy McNail and her husband Keith of Aurora, Colorado; one brother, Richard Spear of Washington; one sister, Debbie Whitchurch of Farmington, Missouri and six grandchildren. Patricia will be sadly missed by her family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Memorial Services will be held at the McSpadden Funeral Home Sunday, April 4, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Minister: Pastor Bill McClintock. Arrangements by McSpadden Funeral Homes, Inc. Ellington, Missouri.

Wayne Richard Sitler
Wayne Richard Sitler, 48, of Farmington died March 16, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
He was born on May 19, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Richard L. Sitler and the late Betty (Heintzelman) Sitler.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (Ransom) Sitler; father, Richard L. Sitler of Callahan, Florida; step-daughter, Amy Johnson of the home; brother, Brian Sitler and wife Debbie of Callahan, Florida, sister, Susan Deyo and husband Ed of Callahan, Florida, three nieces, Pam (Mrs. Corky) Harvey, Jennifer (Mrs. Kenny) Guthrie and Sheila (Mrs. Todd) Plunk, all of Jacksonville, Florida.
Arrangements conducted under the direction of Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington, Missouri.
David Lawrence Gavan
David Lawrence Gavan, 52, of Fredericktown died March 11, 2004 in St. Francois County, Missouri.
He was born July 27, 1951 in Ironton, Missouri, a son of Lawrence Perry ‘Bob’ and Helen (nee-Graham) Gavan.
Preceding Mr. Gavan in death were his parents; and two brothers, Mark and Garry Lee Gavan.
Surviving him are a son, Jason Gavan of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Veronica Gavan of Cape Girardeau and Tessa Gavan of Piedmont, Missouri; one sister, Barbara Roberts of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Rodger Gavan of Fredericktown and dear friend Sue Harmon of Fredericktown.
Mr. Gavan was a self-employed truck driver and member of Teamster Local 682.
Graveside services were held March 13, 2004 at Marcus Memorial Park cemetery with Reverend Bob Webb officiating.
Pallbearers were Jason Gavan, Rodger Gavan, Danny Gavan, Zack Roberts, Charlie Roberts and Matt Harmon.
Arrangements conducted under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Piedmont.
Florence Dollinger
Florence Dollinger, 97, of Fredericktown died March 14, 2004 at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown.
She was born May 30, 1906 in Marquand, a daughter of Henry M and Lovie Ann (Shetley) Pugh.
On August 14, 1961 in Fredericktown, she was married to paul L. Dollinger who preceded her in death on April 14, 1974.
Surviving Mrs. Dollinger are one sister and husband, Babe (Butch) Mooney of Fredericktown.
Mrs. Dollinger is also survived by nine nieces, two nephews, four great nieces and two great nephews.
Mrs. Dollinger worked as a waitress for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and collecting coffee cups from various states.
She was a member of Shetley’s Creek Baptist Church in Marquand, Missouri since 1921.
Services were held March 18, 2004 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown with Reverend Raymond Michaels officiating. Burial was at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Fredericktown.
Pallbearers were Tommy Mooney, Ron Gamlin, Vince Vacca, Wilbur Holmes, Don Johnson and John Hembrough.
Stephen E. Barnes
Stephen (Steve) E. Barnes, 47, of Fredericktown died March 19, 2004 at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown.
He was born October 26, 1956 in Farmington, Missouri, a son of Leslie (Danny) and Norma (Jean) Barnes.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents.
Surviving Mr. Barnes are his parents, Leslie (Danny) and Norma (Jean) Barnes of Fredericktown; one brother, Timothy Alan Barnes of Ellisville, Missouri; and one sister Debra Lynn Wagganer of Fredericktown. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Mr. Barnes was a member of Calvary Temple and of the Protestant Faith.
He enjoyed reading the bible, classic television, music and poetry.
Services were held March 21, 2004 at Calvary Temple in Fredericktown with Pastor Carl Cureton officiating.
Burial was at Walker Memorial on March 22, 2004
Pallbearers were: Ted Martin, Barry Wagganer, Branden Wagganer, Jimmy Ray Stumbaugh, Russell Leonard and Billy Kinney.
Services conducted by Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
