Warren W. Blum

STE. GENEVIEVE — Warren Wilfred Blum of Ste. Genevieve passed away Friday, April 9, 2004, at the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital at the age of 83 years. He was born July 31, 1920, in St. Louis, MO to the late Frank and Edith May Blum (nee Conway).

On January 3, 1941, Warren was united in marriage to Adalla D. Blum (nee Govro) who preceded him in death. Also preceded in death by his brother: Lindell Blum.

Warren is survived by his dear children: Betty (Mrs. Norman) Bieser, Warren (Kathy) Blum, David (Joann) Blum and Martha (Mrs. Randy) Bahr, all of Ste. Genevieve, Vickie Abt of House Springs, and Judy (Mrs. Benny) Grass of Bloomsdale. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. One brother: Melvin (Rose) Blum of Weatherford, TX and one sister, Arlene (Mrs. Lawrence Murray) of Park Hills, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends also survive.

Mr. Blum served his country in the United States Army. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion Post 150 and the VFW Post 2210 in Ste. Genevieve.

Family to receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2004, at the Wood Family Funeral Home, 223 Market St., Ste. Genevieve, with an American Legion and V.F.W. Service at 7 p.m.

Funeral service to be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, in the Wood Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Faulkner officiating.

Interment to follow in the Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery. If desired, family wishes memorials be made to the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital, Oncology Department, or the V.F.W. Post 2210.
