Harry D. Jennings
FARMINGTON – Harry D. Jennings of Farmington passed away on June 20, 2004, at Des Peres Hospital, at the age of 84 years. He was born on February 11, 1920, at Farmington, the son of the late George and Pearl (Anderson) Jennings. He was also preceded in death by his son, Carl Jennings, and a grandson, Shane Lewis.
Mr. Jennings served his country proudly with the U. S. Army in Europe during World War II. Before his retirement, he had been employed by Weber Construction Company. He was a lifetime member of Carpenters Union Local #2214.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Shirrell of Pevely, and Martha and husband Tom Lewis of Redmond, Or., a sister, Virginia Bray of Doe Run, seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, an aunt, Leah Burnett of Farmington, a niece, Jeanne Bray, and a nephew, Sonny Bray.
Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel after 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2004. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery at a later date. A complete obituary is online at www.cozeanfuneralhome.com.
