Irene Eden

Irene Lila Eden of Farmington passed away on July 3, 2004, at Camelot Nursing Center, at the age of 99 years. She was born on October 24, 1904, at Doe Run, the daughter of the late Joseph David and Sophia A. (Sutherland) Crader. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Joseph Martin Eden, three brothers, Julius, Monroe and Bart, and three sisters, Estelle, Virginia and Lottie.

She was a Charter Member of the Three Rivers Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for 55 years. She will be deeply missed by her fellow church members.

She is survived by a son, Donald L. Eden of Lemay, and a daughter, Norma J. Marler of Farmington, three grandchildren, Allan Marler, John Eden and Donna Lampert, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 5, 2004. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
