Two Bonne Terre residents hurt in accident on Route K
A two-vehicle accident Monday on Route K in St. Francois County sent two Bonne Terre residents to the hospital.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Brandon Ache, 24, Bonne Terre, crossed Route K in the path of a vehicle driven by Matthew Griswell, 19, French Village. Ache’s vehicle overturned on its top after Griswell’s struck it in the side.
Ache sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Khristian Newton, 22, Bonne Terre, received serious injuries and was taken to Barnes Hospital by Air Evac.
In an unrelated wreck on Saturday, a one-vehicle accident on Route K in St. Francois County resulted in a Bonne Terre man receiving minor injuries.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Jimmie Bayless, 55, Bonne Terre, exited the left side of the roadway and struck a tree after Bayless suffered an emergency medical condition.
Bayless received minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
