Knightettes stay atop large -school conference
Farmington 25-11, 25-10 North County
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Knightettes volleyball team defended their home gym against the North County Lady Raiders Thursday night. The Knightettes won the match by the scores of 25-11 and 25-10.
Megan Bess nailed five kills for the Knightettes, followed by Natalie Hooss with four. Bess also made two blocks. Becky Weaver came up with six assists and Brenna Noble had five. Noble also scored nine points. Randie Wooldridge had six digs.
Brittany Hedgcorth had three kills for the Lady Raiders, followed by Alicia Kaiser with two. Hedgcorth scored two points, and Jennelle Eddings came up with eight assists.
The Knightettes (16-3) host Poplar Bluff Monday. The Lady Raiders (6-11-3) host Owensville the same day.
Ste. Genevieve 25-19, 25-18 Fredericktown
FREDERICKTOWN — The Ste. Genevieve Hunters emerged victorious over the Fredericktown Lady Cats in volleyball action Thursday. The Hunters won in two games by the scores of 25-19 and 25-18.
Tessa Rehkop had four kills and 12 digs for the Lady Cats.
Adrienne Sevier scored 11 points for the Hunters. Sevier and Bethany Drumm made six assists. Danielle Lindsey slammed nine kills, followed by Lindsay Rhodes with six. Lindsey also had two stuff blocks.
The Lady Cats (9-10-2) host Jackson Monday evening. The Hunters (16-8-2, 2-1 MAAA) travel to play cross-town rival Valle the same day.
