Rose Casteel

BISMARCK — Rose Casteel, 71, of Bismarck, passed away October 7, 2004. She was born September 3, 1933 in Doe Run, daughter of the late Acey and Birdean Williams Moore. Also preceding her in death was her husband Sonny Casteel; two sisters: Dorothy Gibson; Lola Craig; two brothers: Micky and Jerry Moore.

She is survived by four sons: Arthur Casteel Jr. (Gail) of Bismarck; Gene Casteel (Judith) of Bismarck; James Casteel (Kenna) of Bismarck; Lynda Griffeth of Bismarck; Zelma Campbell of Farmington; Reva Renth (Roy) of Kansas City; four brothers: Charlie Moore (Wanda) of California; John Moore (Velma) of Irondale; Mevin Moore (Tammy) of Bismarck; Gilbert Moore (Kim) of Bismarck; one sister, Peachie Halters of Bismarck; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Rose was a member of the Bismarck Ladies Auxiliary Post #6947.

Visitation will be Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. at Shipman Funeral Home with the ladies Auxiliary Post #6947 service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Shipman Chapel with Pastor Bill Robertson. Burial will be in the Bismarck I.O.O.F. cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Susan B. Coleman Breast Cancer Association.
