Norma Kaufman

ELVINS — Norma Mae (Stephens) Kaufman of Country Meadows passed away Thursday Nov. 11, 2004, at Country Meadows. Norma was born June 14, 1921, at Elvins, MO.

Preceded in death by parents, Norman and Jetta Usher Reed; her first husband, Meredith Stephens; infant child Norma Ann; sisters, Gladys Devine Faye Swaringim and Melba Reed and a brother Clifford Reed.

Survived by husband, Robert Kaufman, Country Meadows; two daughters, Clara, Mrs. Thomas Mills, Park Hills, MO and Mary, Mrs. Ronald Benward, Jefferson City, MO. Two sons, Meredith and wife Jeanne Stephens, Waynesville, MO; Harold and wife Patricia Stephens of Columbia, MO.

With this marriage came James and John Kaufman and Cathy Vanderwood.

Three sisters, Irene Since, Bernice Levy, Dorothy Faries all of Park Hills, MO, Thelma Chamberlain, St. Louis and Helen Ferguson, Desloge; brother, William “Bill” and wife Virginia Reed, De Soto, MO.

Grandchildren, Steven Mills, Tamara Rapier, Jeff Thomas, Greg Mills, Robert Stephens, Dawn Erickson, Courtney stephens. Also nine great-grandchildren survive.

Special thanks to Diana, Lisa, Tony and Country Meadows and Safe Harbor Hospice.

Also nieces and nephews and other relatives survive. Member of Parkview Baptist Church, Desloge.

Visitation will be at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.

Services for Norma Mae Kaufman will be Saturday 2 p.m. at the Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Vincent, assisted by Rev. Charles Miller. Burial will be at the Parkview Cemetery.
