Steven and Jessica McMeans of Festus are the parents of a daughter born October 21, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Crystal City. She weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. and was named Kara Nichole. She had one sister, Kaci, and one brother, Donnie.

Grandparents are Jeannie Brunk of Herculaneum, Mary Day of Hemitite, and Ron Day of Arnold. Great-grandparents are Lloyd and Joyce Wills of Crystal City and Coletia Day of Fenton.
