Authorities take down another meth lab
Deputies from the St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man in connection with a meth lab.
MoSmart Officer Bruce Momot said a confidential informant provided them with information that there was a meth lab possibly operating on Pierce Road just outside Bonne Terre.
Momot and four deputies went to the residence just after 9 p.m. Monday. With the consent of the owner, officers searched the property and found items used in the production of meth. One person was also found to be in possession of meth.
Two people were arrested but one was later released. Officers are seeking charges of possession of chemicals with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia against a 52-year-old man.
Names are not being released until formal charges have not been filed.
