Bonne Terre man dies after accident on Route K
A one-vehicle accident Saturday on Route K in St. Francois County resulted in the death of a Bonne Terre resident.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Marshall McMullen, 38, Bonne Terre, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident due to injuries sustained.
McMullen lost control of his vehicle on a curve and ran off the side of the road and struck a tree. The vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned, ejecting both McMullen and Kyle McMullen, 12, Bonne Terre. Kyle McMullen suffered serious injuries and was flown to Childrens Hospital by Air Evac.
In an unrelated accident on Monday, a three-vehicle accident on Route M in St. Francois County resulted in two people going to the hospital.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Meagan Caldwell, 16, Leadwood, was attempting to make a left turn onto Wortham Road and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Kelly Freeman, 38, Irondale. The front of Freeman’s vehicle struck the front side of Caldwell’s vehicle. Freeman’s vehicle then struck a vehicle driven by Holly Blair, 30, Park Hills.
Feeman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance. Caldwell sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Mineral Area Regional Medical Center by St. Francois County Ambulance.
