Mr. Joel Botkin
STE. GENEVIEVE — Mr. Joel W. Botkin, 84, passed away December 14, 2004, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor. Joel was born August 13, 1920, in Centerville, Missouri, to Warrany O’Donnell Botkin and Lesie ‘Sherrill’ Botkin. Also preceding-in-death were: One Sister, Wilma Conway and One Brother, Willard Botkin.
Joel was a member of Sunnyview Church of Christ, Farmington.
Survivors Include: his wife, Ernestine ‘Gastineau’ Botkin, of Ste. Genevieve; three children: Brenda “Mrs. Mike” Schaeffer, of St. Louis; Kim “Mrs. Van” McCain, of Ste. Genevieve; Gary (& Sharon) Botkin, of Fenton. One Brother: Edward (& Berta Fae) Botkin, of St. Louis. Six Grandchildren: Michael (& Jennifer) Botkin; Melinda Botkin (Mrs. Paul) Meister; Kristina Schaeffer (Mrs. Joe) Steiger; Carey Schaeffer; Amy Schaeffer; Jill McCain (Mrs. Joe) Costello. Two Great-Grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Cole Steiger.
Visitation Thursday, 4-8 pm. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation resumes Friday morning, 7 a.m. and funeral Friday, 10:30 a.m., December 17 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, with Minister Jerry Reynolds officiating.
