Bismarck Board approves water, sewer request

BISMARCK – The Bismarck Board of Aldermen met in special session Monday to discuss three different issues. The board approved a request made by a resident for water and sewer services.

“Mr. Fenelli is building a restaurant beside Sundale Lake,” said Bismarck Mayor Bill Petrie. “Mr. Fenelli is going to cover the cost of running the utility lines up to the city limits. After the lines are run the measure will come back to the board for final approval.”

The board also discussed a compressor used by the Bismarck Fire Department.

“We are selling the compressor to the Irondale Fire Department for $2,700,” Petrie said. “We are selling because the fire department recently purchased a new compressor. The grant of $2,700 to purchase the compressor will go back into city’s funds.”

The board approved a business license for SideTrack Cafe which is located along Highway 32 across from the Bismarck School District campus.

During closed session the board hired Seth Radford to serve as the city’s dog catcher. Radford previously worked for Bismarck as the city’s maintenance supervisor until he resigned in May.
