Dr. Gene Carron

FRENCH VILLAGE — Dr. Gene J. “Doc” Carron, 79, of French Village, Mo., died at his residence Jan. 14, 2005.

He married Dorothy S. (Stahl) Carron on Aug. 1, 1949.

Dr. Carron was a ham radio operator (call letters WONZA); past member of a Barber Shop Quarette; Former director of the choir at St. Lawrence Church; Lt. JG in the US Navy during WWII; received his Sci. PhD from Washington University in 1963.

He was preceded in death by sisters Alamretta Wolff and Genevieve Santen, father Alphonse Carron and mother Mabelle (Nimmo) Carron.

He is survived by sons Michael (Cinda) Carron of Bonita Springs, Fla.; Gary (Kay) Carron of Jackson, Mo. and Robert (Kay) Carron of Jackson, Mo and daughter Victoria Denger of St. Louis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at St. Lawrence Church, Lawrenceton, Mo., on Monday, January 17, 2005, from 10 a.m. to noon.

Services were held at St. Lawrence on Monday, January 17, 2005, at noon. The clergy was Rev. Raymond Oge. Burial was at St. Lawrence, in Lawrenceton, Mo.
