Jim Shettles

FARMINGTON – Jimmy (Jim) Dowell Shettles of Farmington passed away on January 16, 2005, at Des Peres Hospital, at the age of 59 years. He was born on July 7, 1945, in the State of Mississippi, the son of the late Joe Dowell and Ethel Irene (Potts) Shettles.

Mr. Shettles worked as a machinist for U. S. Tool Grinding Inc. He was a Past President of the Desloge Eagles Lodge #3350. He was an active member of the Kruisers Car Club and the Ozark Hills Car Club.

He is survived by two daughters, Leah Shettles and Katherine (Mrs. Brian) Colbert, both of Warrenton, MO, a sister, Jean Watson of Memphis, TN, two grandsons, Mickel Dickerson and Brandon Colbert, and his fiancé, Helen Phelan of Farmington. Four nephews and many cherished friends also survive

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18, 2005. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel at 10 a.m. on Wednesday with the Rev Roger Hogan officiating. Burial will be at the Macedonia Cemetery, New Albany, Miss.
