MAC offers success tools for businesses

PARK HILLS — Whether a company offers a service, sells products, or creates widgets, it has something in common with every other business on the planet — its success thrives on good leadership, customer service and decision-making.

Mineral Area College is presenting a showcase of leadership and workforce development modules, or learning units, offered by Development Dimensions International (DDI).

Those who are interested in “Twelve Great Success Tools” can call Bev Hickam, (573) 270-3542 to ask for more information, or can call Sherry Cooper, (573) 518-2370, to sign up. The seminar has an RSVP deadline of Jan. 24 and takes place from 1-4:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 in the MAC North College Center on the Park Hills campus.

According to MAC’s Career and Technical Education dean, Gil Kennon, the Feb. 3 meeting at MAC is perfect for training managers, human resource managers, company owners, and healthcare professionals.

“It’s a kind of a showcase to show the DDI classes that are available, the training materials and other tools that are applicable to any business,” Kennon said. “I think those who attend will all be able to come away with valuable tools for their business.”

Module previews will include: Interaction Skills for Success; Leading Change; Coaching for Success; Retaining Talent; Coaching for Improvement; Building Trust; Managing Performance Problems; IM Essentials; Resolving Conflict; Valuing Differences; Motivating Others; Rapid Decision Making.
