Rosalie Self

FARMINGTON – Rosalie Self of Farmington passed away on January 24, 2005, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, at the age of 77 years. She was born on September 10, 1927, in Rivermines, the daughter of the late James Robert and Lora (O’Bryan) Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by a son, James Arlin Self, a sister, Kathleen Grueber, and a brother, Robert Fitzgerald.

Mrs. Self was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, the Rev. Chester Self, two sons, Gerald and wife Kym of Franklin, TN, Philip and wife Mindy of Florissant, two brothers, Douglas Fitzgerald and wife Nina of Middlebrook and Bryan Fitzgerald and wife Verla of Lesterville, four sisters, Amolee McIntyre, Rowena Harrelson, Wilma Jean (Mrs. Donald) Hodges and Nina Ruth Brady, and four grandchildren, Katie, Andrea, Courtney and Chad. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many cherished friends also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Visitation will resume on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Farmington at1 p.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating.
