School board candidates to participate in videoconference

School board candidates throughout Missouri will be participating in live, interactive videoconferences on the evening of February 24 and March 3 that will cover the basics of school board service.

The videoconferences, sponsored by the Missouri School Boards’ Association, will cover the role of the school board, the board/superintendent relationship, an overview of school law and ethics, and other issues commonly faced by local school boards. Candidates viewing the program at sites throughout the state will have the opportunity to ask questions to presenters. Candidates interested in participating in the videoconferences should contact the Missouri School Boards’ Association for registering information.

The videoconference is being conducted at Mineral Area TCRC-5270 Flat River Road in Park Hills on Thursday.
