Eleanor Meyer

FARMINGTON — Eleanor L. Skinner Meyer of Farmington passed away on February 22, 2005, at Camelot Nursing Center. She was born in Red Granite, Wisconsin on January 24, 1915, to the late Ella Sutherland Skinner and George M. Skinner. Recently she celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lynn G. Meyer whom she married on April 4, 1943, four brothers Dalton, Donald, Glen and Lloyd Skinner.

She is survived by a daughter Kaye Lynn (Mrs. Larry Michael) of Farmington, a granddaughter Erica Ingracia of St. Louis, one brother Clarence D. Skinner and wife Marceda of Herculaneum, one sister Mary and husband Lloyd Lamb, a sister-in-law Naomi Skinner, all of Farmington, six nieces, four nephews, and several great nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.

Eleanor was a beautician for many years in Farmington, having retired many years ago. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church and had been very active in the United Methodist Women and had cooked for the Men’s Club several years ago. She always had a smile and good word to pass along to everyone.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel today at 7;30 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Memorial United Methodist Church with Dr. David Webster officiating and assisted by the Rev.
