William Reynolds

PARK HILLS – William Ralph “Blackie” Reynolds of Park Hills passed away on March 16, 2005 at St. Francois Manor, Farmington, at the age of 93 years. He was born November 11, 1911 to William Jacob and Jenny Evans Reynolds. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert M. (Viva) Reynolds of St. Louis, two sisters, Mary Effie (Clark) Reeder of Farmington and Myrtle Virginia (Melvin) Benham of Farmington and a nephew, Gary A. Benham (Diane) of Rockford, IL.

Blackie was an honorable U.S. Air Force Veteran in WW ll and retired after 37 years with the Bonne Terre Farming and Cattle Company. Blackie was an avid outdoor’s man who loved fishing and camping. At one time he served as life guard at Iron Mountain Lake. He appreciated his friends and was always ready to share a cup of coffee with them.

Survivors include: His wife, Vivian Adams Reynolds, special Friends and neighbors, Karen and Ted Jones, nieces: Thelma Reeder, Farmington, Mo, Ginny (John) Kruger, Dowagic, MI, Debbie (Steve) Allen, Barnhart, Mo, Mary (Tom) LaFranka, Madison, WI, Sally (Jim) Simpson, Charolotte, FL. Nephews: William (Shirley) Benham, Rockford, IL, Robert (Judy) Benham, Rockford, IL, Harlan (Evelyn) Adams, Farmington, Mo, Clive (Peggy) Adams, Desloge, Mo.

Visitation will be Saturday 10-noon at Horton Wampler Funeral home with services at 1 in the Chapel. Burial will be at St. Francois Cemetery, Bonne Terre. Gifts may be made to charities of choice.
