Boy’s State and Girl’s State representatives named for 2005

Every year students gather from all over Missouri at the campus of Central Missouri State University for Boy’s and Girl’s State. The Boy’s and Girl’s State programs teach students leadership and in-depth insight on how state government functions.

The Boy’s State is June 11-18, followed by Girl’s State on June 19-25. Eleven Farmington Senior High School students plus alternates have been selected for Boy’s and Girl’s State 2005.

The American Legion acquired sponsorship for five boys to attend Boy’s State this year. Bob Silvey is the Farmington American Legion chairman for Boy’s State. The American Legion Auxiliary acquired sponsorship for six girls to attend Girl’s State 2005. The Legion Auxiliary chairman for Girl’s State is Kathy Stewart.

Organizations sponsoring this year’s Boy’s and Girl’s State members include: New Era Bank, Farmington Elks Lodge, Ozark Federal Savings and Loan, First State Community Bank, Conservative Finances Services, American Veterans Auxiliary, PEO of Farmington, Farmington Women of Today, Business and Professional Women and the Kiwanis Club of Farmington.

This year’s Boy’s and Girl’s State participants and alternates include Ashley Beavers, Sarah Barks, Kate Bauche, Morgan Fuemmeler; Second Row, Kourtney Detring, Krista Vessell, Macy Williams, Brenna Noble, Lauren Boatright, Josh Kimrey, Harry Peterson, Brad Green, Matt Rhodes, and Matt Freund.
