Trust fund set up to help ALS victim

A trust fund has been set up to help purchase a computer for Craig Thomas, the son of Debbie and Steve Thomas of Farmington. Thomas has recently been diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Thomas was graduated from Farmington High School in 1995 where he was a football player.

Donations to the fund may be made at any New Era Bank and checks should be made out to the Craig Thomas Fund.

Craig’s aunt, Linda Kollmeyer has organized a scrapbooking crop to raise money to fight ALS. Her goal is 100 participants and she has only 20 openings left to make her goal.

To sign up, call Kollmeyer at 756-6175 or Debbie Thomas at 756-1444 after 4 p.m. The cost is $10 per person.

Kollmeyer promises door prizes, along with booths featuring scrapbooking products for purchase.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. April 9 at the St. Paul Lutheran School gym. Lunch is included. Craig Thomas plans to attend the event.
