Doe Run residents holding town meeting

Following several meetings to begin organizing a neighborhood watch program for the community of Doe Run, residents are now planning a town meeting to discuss park and other improvements.

The next meeting will be held April 19 at 7 p.m. in the park building at the Doe Run community park. The main focus of the meeting will be possible improvements to the park building, the grounds and playground equipment. There will also be a review on the ongoing formation of the Neighborhood Watch program.

Another topic being discussed is the possibility of the community participating in the state’s Adopt-A-Highway program. More information will be discussed the evening of the meeting.

Chris York, a representative of the group heading up the meeting, said a county commissioner has also agreed to be in attendance on April 19.

Anyone wishing to obtain more information about the meeting can do so by calling 760-7411, or 760-0322 after 5 p.m.
