Mildred Deisher

Mildred Deisher, 94, of Lawrenceville died April 30, 2005, at Lawrenceville Manor.

She was born July 31, 1910, in St. Francisville, the daughter of Oral and Ethel Tarpley Highsmith.

She was married to Loren Deisher who preceded her in death in 1975.

Mrs. Deisher was a nurse’s aid and member of Sand Barrens E.U.B. Church.

She is survived by three sons, Ray Deisher of Mount Carmel, Harold Deisher of Lawrenceville, and Kenneth Deisher of Fredericktown, Missouri.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law, brother-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 4, 2005 at Smith Funeral Home in Lawrenceville with the Reverend Fred Mahin officiating. Burial was at Oaklawn Cemetery in St. Francisville.

Elmer Lee Vincent

Elmer Lee Vincent, 98, of Fredericktown died April 28, 2005 at Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Home in Fredericktown.

He was born July 12, 1906 in Fredericktown, a son of Francis Marion Vincent and Martha (Wheeler).

Mr. Vincent was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Anna Irene (Clauser) Vincent; two brothers and two sisters.

Mr. Vincent is survived by four sons, Henry Vincent of Marquand, Missouri, Arthur Vincent of Fredericktown, Missouri, David Vincent of Gulfport, Mississippi and Carl Vincent of Belfair, Washington; and one daughter, Anna M. (Vincent) Webber of Farmington, Missouri.

Mr. Vincent has nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren.

He was a life member of the United Methodist Church in Fredericktown and of the Methodist Faith.

Mr. Vincent enjoyed farming, fishing and traveling.

Services were held May 2, 2005 at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church with Reverend Duane Larson officiating. Burial was at Little Vine Cemetery. Arrangements by the Follis & Sons Funeral Home.

Sada Josephine Upchurch

Sada Josephine Upchurch, 90, of Ironton, Missouri died May 3, 2005 at the Baptist Home in Ironton where she had been a resident since 1989.

She was born February 21, 1915, at Dudley, Missouri, a daughter of Oscar and Sada Nanney Upchurch.

Ms. Upchurch was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Oscar Upchurch, Jr.

Survivors include one brother, Winfred Upchurch of Glen Allen; two sisters, Jacquelyn Huffman of Ironton, and Beth Woods of Marquand.

She is also survived by two nephews, three nieces, four great nephews, five great nieces, two great-great nephews and four great-great nieces.

Ms. Upchurch was a member of the Glen Allen Baptist Church.

Services were held May 6, 2005 at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Missouri with Reverend Lee Roy Quinn and Reverend Gerald Collier officiating. Burial was at Plainview Cemetery near Marble Hill.

Fay L. ‘Red’ Rehkop

Fay L. ‘Red’ Rehkop died April 17, 2005.

Husband of 58 years to the late Eleanor V. Rehkop (nee Amend). Father of Darel L Rehkop and Sandra F. Cummings.

Brother of Juanita (Robert) Kimmich of Fredericktown.

Mr. Rehkop had six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and friend to many.

Mr. Rehkop was a past Commander of VFW Post 6137.

Services were held April 20, 2005 at John L. Ziegenhein and Sons of South County. Burial was at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Ila Nadine Moss

Ila Nadine Moss, 96, of Fredericktown died May 2, 2005 at Victoria, Mississippi.

She was born January 21, 1909 in Tennessee, a daughter of Enos and Pearl Hatley.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Billy Eugene Moss.

She was married to Robert Moss of Point Pleasant, Missouri.

Surviving Mrs. Moss are one son, Robert Moss of Victoria, Mississippi; three daughters, Reva Hampton of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Carol Welch of Omaha, Nebraska and Virginia Tanner of Ballwin, Missouri; and one sister, Mary Belle Atwood of Hayti, Missouri.

She had 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Moss was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and quilting.

Services were held May 5, 2005 at Follis and Sons Chapel with Reverend Dave Leslie officiating. Burial was at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Pallbearers were Duane Moss, David Moss, Doug Welch, Robert Hampton, Jeff Tanner and Brian Tanner.

Arrangements handled by Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.

Charles Raymond Godsey

Charles Raymond Godsey, 71, of Fredericktown died May 6, 2005 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.

He was born July 24, 1933 in Gideon, Missouri, a son of Ewell and Grace Godsey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jean Godsey.

Mr. Godsey is survived by three sons, Terry Godsey and Bart Godsey both of Fredericktown, Missouri, Bret Godsey of Ballwin, Missouri; and one sister, Ann Hagberg of Somersville, Texas.

He had eight grandchildren.

Mr. Godsey was a member of the Gideon Baptist Church in Gideon, Missouri and of the Baptist Faith.

He enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Services were held May 10, 2005 at Follis and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Clyde Bess officiating. Burial was at the Christian Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Pallbearers were: Jerry Godsey, Bart Godsey, Bret Godsey, Brad Flowers, Jeff Flowers and Paul Godsey.

Arrangements handled by Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.
