MAC finishes season at 25-27

PARK HILLS – The Mineral Area College Cardinals wrapped up their baseball season with a 1-2 effort in the Region 16 tournament. Their nemesis for the tournament was the Meramec Magic which gave them both of their losses. MAC was 3-1 against the Magic during the regular season.

The Magic won the opener 5-2, and the closer 11-3. Lucas Hulsey hit a home run in the first game and Scott Hubbard had an RBI in both games.

In between the two losses, the Cardinals defeated the Jefferson Vikings 4-0. Michael Hardin threw a four-hitter for the Cardinals, striking out nine batters in a complete game. Tyler Stahl had a two-RBI single in the third inning, and Marty Clements and Hubbard had RBI singles in the eighth inning.

The Cardinals finished their season at 25-27 and placed second in the MCCAC conference at 16-8.
