Prevent Skin Cancer

The American Cancer Society suggests:

€ Avoid too much exposure to UV light.

€ Use sunscreen with an SPF Factor of 15 or more. Apply it liberally – 20 minutes before going in the sun and every two hours you’re in the sun.

€ Wear sunglasses.

€ Avoid tanning beds and sun lamps.

€ Examine skin monthly and have a doctor check suspicious moles.

€ Protect children in the sun because people who suffer severe, blistering sunburns in childhood or teenage years are at increased risk of melanoma.
