Cyclones remain undefeated in Senior Babe Ruth

POTOSI – The Arcadia Valley Cyclones kept their record unblemished on Monday with an 8-2 win over the Potosi Elks in Senior Babe Ruth action. Logan Smith was the winning pitcher for the Cyclones.

Spencer Helms and Kris Kearns had two doubles each in the game. Trey Danieley was 3-4 with a double and Smith had a double for the Cyclones. A.J. Long hit one triple, and A.J. White and Kyle Heifner hit two singles each for the Elks.

JUNIOR BABE RUTH

Dolphins 13, Pumas 3

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Dolphins got a one-hit performance out of Lance Miller to defeat the Potosi Pumas 13-3 in six innings. The Dolphins are now 5-1.

The Longhorns gave Miller plenty to work with as Trey Danieley was 3-4 at the plate, Nick Hoehn hit two doubles and Derek Smallen hit one. R.J. Lawson hit a double for the Pumas

Red Sox 16, Chargers 3

BONNE TERRE – Jordan Thompson pitched the Bonne Terre Red Sox to a 16-3 win over the Arcadia Valley Chargers. Jeff Wilfong hit two doubles for the winning team and seven players had one single each. Dereck Wilson hit a triple, and Jacob Spitzmiller and Quinton Vance hit two singles each for the Chargers.

The Red Sox are now 6-1 on the season and will play at the Farmington Dolphins on Wednesday.

Miners 10, Yanks 0

Miners 7, Yanks 2

BONNE TERRE – The North County Miners swept a doubleheader on Saturday over the Ste. Genevieve Yanks, 10-0 and 7-2. Aaron Blunt pitched a no-hitter to win the first game, and Josh Jaco was the winning pitcher of game two.

Chad moss went 3-3 in game one with two triples. Jaco had three hits on the night with a triple, and Ronnie Calvird had three hits with a double. Nathan Grass and Zach Bauer had two hits each for the Yanks.
