Fredericktown Police Department

The Fredericktown Police Department answered 105 calls for service during the week of June 6 to 13, 2005, and made the following arrests:

1. two for driving a motor vehicle without valid license plates;

2. two for driving without a valid operator’s license;

3. two for safekeeping;

4. one for tampering with utilities;

5. one for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle;

6. one for failure to stop at a stop sign;

7. one for driving a motor vehicle without insurance;

8. one for failure to drive on right-half of roadway;

9. one for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident;

10. one for assault;

11. two for trespassing; and

12. one for peace disturbance.

On Wednesday, June 8 at 7:20 p.m., a two-vehicle crash took place on North Main. A 1974 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Jeffrey S. Sutton of Annapolis, Missouri, struck a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Dennis J. Seiter of Marquand, Missouri. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, June 9, a 1994 Chevrolet Z71 driven by Bobby L. Evans of Fredericktown was backing on the parking lot of Madison Medical Center and struck a parked 1998 Pontiac Grand Am owned by Robert McCormick of Fredericktown. No injuries were reported.

Sunday, June 12, a 1999 Chevrolet K3500 pickup truck towing a 16′ trailer was being backed by Theodore C. Brown of Fredericktown on the parking lot of Chuck’s Short Stop and struck a fuel pump, trash can, protective post(s) and light pole. No injuries were reported.

There have been several reported thefts of articles in the Ward II area the past few weeks. These items, such as tools and lawn furniture/ornaments have been taking during the nighttime hours. Please call the Police Department at 783-3660 if you see or hear anything suspicious.
