Mrs. Ethel ‘Thomasson’ Shaw

CAPE GIRARDEAU – Mrs. Ethel G. ‘Thomasson’ Shaw, 92, formerly of Farmington, passed away June 14, 2005, at The Cape Girardeau Lutheran Home. Ethel was born on August 15, 1912, in St. Francois County, to Carl and Ada ‘Cook’ Thomasson. She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Glen J. Shaw (1999); 3 Sisters: Alma Kerlagan; Edith Welland and Mabel Carvick; 2 Brothers: Shelton and Paul Thomasson. Also, 2 Sisters-In-Law: Ruth Moore and Clara Shaw.

Ethel was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Farmington.

Survivors Include: 2 Sons: Carl (and Carol) Shaw, of Cape Girardeau; Don Shaw, of Farmington; 3 Sisters: Velma ‘Mrs. Jim’ Bates, of St. Louis; Alberta Bannister, of Farmington; Ada ‘Mrs. Bob’ Turley, of Jackson; 1 Brother: Carl Joe (and Marion) Thomasson, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 1 Sister-In-Law: Glenna Shaw, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. 3 Grandchildren: Laura ‘Mrs. Greg’ Asher, of Barnhart; Jeffrey (and Leah) Shaw, of Jackson; Christopher Shaw, of Cape Girardeau; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Aaron, Ian and Evan Asher, of Barhart; Allyson and Nicholas Shaw, of Jackson.

Visitation today, 5-8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Visitation resumes Friday, 7 a.m., and funeral Friday, 11 a.m., June 17, 2005, at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, Farmington.
