Redbirds take first in American Division

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Redbirds were only one win away from winning the American Division in the Bantam League. The Redbirds got that win on Friday over the Park Hills Wolves. Park Hills had a couple of throwing errors, and Farmington took advantage with a 4-0 victory.

Jordan Ankrom had a home run for the Redbirds and Connor Forsythe and Jake Moore both doubled. Grant Waddell and Jake Andrews added a single. Scott Richardson and Christopher Welle both had a double for the Wolves and Anthony Quinton chipped in a base hit.

The Redbirds finish with a record of 13-1, and the Wolves 6-8.


Bucs 9, Cyclones 1

STE. GENEVIEVE – The Ste. Genevieve Bucs defeated the Arcadia Valley Cyclones Friday night 9-1 at Yanks Field.

Nathan Grass and Travis Uding both had a three-run double for Ste. Genevieve. Colby Schilly went 2-3 with a double and Nathan Gegg and Sean Odneal both added a base hit. Kris Kearns and Spencer Helms were 2-4 for Arcadia Valley.

The Bucs (7-5) will visit the Potosi Elks on Tuesday. The Cyclones (7-6) will travel to the North County Indians the same day.
