Two puppies wait for a good home

FARMINGTON – This week’s Adopt a Pet features looks at the Humane Society of the Ozarks where there are several dogs available for adoption.

The first featured pet of the week is a pair of puppies. The puppies are mix breed and are 9-weeks-old. There is a male and female. The two puppies are the last two remaining of a litter of six. All of the puppies were initially dropped off at the shelter.

The second featured pet is a 1-year-old male Australian Shepherd named Prince. Prince is already house-broke and responds to commands. He would make an excellent pet either on the farm or in a neighborhood.

The third pet of the week is a 2-month-old hound mix named Princess. Princess is a good natured dog and would make a great pet. She was found wandering along Highway 67.

There is also a 1-year-old shepherd mix named Jake. Jake has already been neutered and is up to date on all of his shots. He is very friendly. He most likely needs to be in a home without cats.

The last pet this week is a 1-year-old female lab mix named Casey. Casey was hit by car in front of the shelter on Highway 67. At the time of the accident she suffered a broken leg. She has since recovered and would make a great pet.
