Park Hills residents can stop boiling water

Park Hills has rescinded an earlier boil order for its water district.

The city on Tuesday had issued an order to boil water before using it in the Old Elvins and River Mines areas. The order followed a water main break that created the possibility of water supply contamination.

The city took samples of water to Environmental Analysis South in Jackson to be tested. The results of two samples arrived at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday and showed that the water was “clean,” with no contamination, said Gloria Valleck, Park Hills Water Department office supervisor.

Property owners may resume normal usage of water.
