John Jones

ST. LOUIS – John Michael Jones of St. Louis passed away on August 10, 2005, at the age of 46 years, at his residence. He was born on March 12, 1959, in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, the son of the Betty Lou (Shanks) Hughes and the late John Paul Jones. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Wilma Effen and Irene and Floyd Stovall.

Mr. Jones worked as a computer analyst at Regis in St. Louis. He also assisted with a local wrestling club in St. Louis. John was a graduate of Farmington High School Class of 1977 and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.

In addition to his mother, Betty Lou Hughes, he is survived by his brother, David Jones and wife Leslie of Farmington, sister, Vera Mercer of Ottawa, Canada, two nephews, David and Paul Jones of Farmington, aunts, Mabel Gilmore of Otterville, MO, Mary Snider and husband James of Ellington, Mary Hull and husband Henry of Farmington, and Joan Hickman and husband Marvin of Doe Run. Numerous cousins and friends also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday August 12, 2005. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the Cozean Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. James Lacey officiating.
