Ernest Devern Jordan

MIAMI, FLORIDA – Ernest Devern Jordan of Miami, Florida, originally from Sullivan, Mo., passed away August 22 at Cedars Hospital.

He was born September 22, 1922 at Park Hills, Mo., to the late James W. Jordan and Lydia Randolph Jordan.

He was preceded in death by four sisters: Virginia; Maudeline; Alma and Wanda Rose. One Brother, L. J. Jordan.

He married Mildred (Mickey) Anderson in 1942.

To this union was born one daughter, Karen Kramer of Springfield, Mo.; two sons: Ernest Jordan Jr. of Miami, Florida, and Dr. Richard Jordan of San Diego, California. He had four granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Ernest (Dee Jordan) moved to Miami three years ago.

He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church, 444 Neeman Ave. in Sullivan, Mo., where the memorial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 10. In World War Ii he was in the 339th Rainbow, Polar Bear Division and was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
