Geneva Turner

DESLOGE – Geneva (Gene) Turner, 82, of Desloge, Mo., passed away September 4, 2005 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. She was born July 15, 1923 in Leadwood.

She was a member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church in Park Hills; a graduate of Leadwood High School; worked in De Soto as an Insurance Broker and later as a Real Estate Broker.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Opal (Dixon) Thornton; husband of 51 years, George Turner; sister, LaVerne Bunch; two brothers: Charles Jermone in infancy and Donald Thornton, killed in Korea.

Survived by two sisters: Joan Thornton of Leadwood; Genell Thornton of Leadwood; two nephews: Richard L. Bunch and wife Becky and Mark A. Bunch and wife Donna; three great nieces: Lauren; Charlene and Laura Bunch.

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.

Service: Thursday at 11 a.m. at C. Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Desloge with Rev. Wayne Phillips and Rev. Ed Watson.

Interment: Leadwood Cemetery.
