Edna Blevins

FREDERICKTOWN – Edna M. Blevins of Fredericktown passed away on September 11, 2005, at Claru DeVille Nursing Center, at the age of 94 years. She was born April 29, 1911, at Mine La Motte, the daughter of the late James and Pauline (Kiepe) Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leander Blevins and two sons, Millard and Frank Blevins.

Mrs. Blevins was the most loving and even-tempered women you could ever imagine.

She is survived by seven sons, Harry Blevins (Opal) of St. Louis, Robert Blevins (Joan) of Pevely, Buford Blevins of Marshall, MO, Russell Blevins of Las Vegas, NV, Elijah Blevins (Joan) of Ironton, David Blevins of St. Louis, Amos Blevins (Nancy) of Galesburg, IL, one daughter, Bernice Kelley of Ste. Genevieve, two brothers, Theodore Ferguson (Adele) of Mine La Motte, and William Ferguson (Wanda) of Fredericktown, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Several other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the Cozean Chapel. Burial will be at the Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
