Cats and kittens await a home

PARK HILLS – The Park Hills Pound has a slew of kittens and cats available for immediate adoption. There are black and white ones, gray ones, just about any color that you could ask for. These guys need to be adopted otherwise they will have to be put to sleep.

There is also a male beagle mix. This guy has a lot of personality. If you are looking for an inside companion or someone to take out into the field with you, he is your guy.

The third pet needing a home is a male Malamute. This guy is very pretty and has a good disposition.

The pound is asking for help in finding the owners of two dogs that were picked up. The first dog is a male rottweiler and the second dog is a male chocolate lab.

For more information about any of these dogs call (573) 431-3122 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

A new charitable organization has been formed to assist the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina. Angel Paws Rescue is a charity organization that is accepting donations that will go directly to the animals brought back to Missouri by the Humane Society of Missouri.

Foster families will also be needed to house and love animals until their families can be found. Donations can be made to Angel Paws Rescue at the Commerce Bank in Desloge or at the Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Caledonia. For more information call (573) 779-3445 or (573) 734-6499.
