Al Dziewa

FARMINGTON – Alan Dziewa, (pronounced JAH-va), 49, of Farmington passed away on September 22, 2005, at his residence, after a hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 14, 1956, in Buffalo, New York, the son of Chester and Eleanor (Perrino) Dziewa of Omaha, NE.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Kathy Dziewa, four children, Mary, Brian, Ann and Robert, all of Farmington, a brother, Gary Dziewa and sister, Rosemary McCarty, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Joan Manley, all of Omaha, NE. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many cherished friends also survive.

Al was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington, where he belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Mercy Fitness Cycling Team, and also served on the Long John Silvers Franchise Advisory Board. He and his wife have been the owners of Long John Silvers of Farmington since 1993. Al was a devoted husband and loving father, full of passion and enthusiasm for life. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and associates.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 3 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2005. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Visitation will resume on Monday at 7:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at the St. Joseph Church at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at the New Calvary Cemetery in Farmington.
