Anthem Duncan

FARMINGTON – Anthem Lucinda Duncan of Farmington passed away on October 6, 2005, at St. Francois Manor, at the age of 89 years. She was born on September 19, 1916, in Madison County, the daughter of the late William and Cora (Pogue) Howell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Duncan; a son , Ralph Duncan; two step-daughters: Viola Johnson and Pearl Harper; a son-in-law, Travis Harper and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Delores (Chalmer) Forsythe of Farmington; a step-daughter, Ruby (Leon) Campbell of Marble Hill; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday October 7, 2005. Visitation will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday with a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Barker officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Donor’s choice. Visit for obituary and online condolences.
