Melton, Settle wed

Jenna LaRae Melton and Douglas Brandon Settle were united in marriage on August 6, 2005, at the Patterson Baptist Church in Patterson. Elder Bob Webb performed the double ring ceremony.

Jenna is the daughter of Larry and Kim Melton of Piedmont. Grandparents are Ernest and Berniece Sullivan, Don and Shirley Melton, all of Piedmont. Great-grandmothers are Bessie Melton of Piedmont and Georgia Waller of Mill Spring.

Brandon is the son of Doug and Susan Settle of Marquand. Grandparents are Floyd Whitener of Marquand and Beulah Settle of Fredericktown.

The bride wore an exquisite white Alfred Angelo gown adorned with metallic crystal beadwork. It had elegant satin layers with chiffon overlays ending with a chapel length train. The bride carried a beautiful bouquet of pink cezenne roses mixed with stephanotis.

Matron of Honor was Autumn Twidwell of Scott Air Force Base, IL, cousin of the bride. She carried 3 single arm length pink cezenne roses tied with a white satin bow. Bridesmaids were Lori Eaton of Overland, Jenny Toney, Alex Bryan, and September Bennet of Piedmont, all friends of the bride. The attendants carried single arm length pink cezenne roses tied with a white satin bow. The bridesmaids wore beautiful tea length Alfred Angelo strapless gowns in dusty rose. Flower girl was Halle Ann Twidwell, daughter of the Matron of Honor and cousin of the bride. She wore a tea length white dress and carried a miniature bouquet to match the bride’s bouquet.

Serving the groom as best man was his brother, Wesley Settle of Maryville, IL. Groomsmen were Dusty Stephens, Heath Stephens of Marquand, cousins of the groom, Daniel Stafford of Marquand, and Brad Jackson of Arcadia, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Alan Myers of St. Charles, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Jed Melton of Piedmont, brother of the bride and Seth Reichert of Arcadia, friend of the groom. All the men in the wedding party wore black tuxedos with silver vests and ties and wore a boutonniere of a single pink cezenne rose.

Lisa Scheiffele and Amber Palmer of Piedmont, friends of the bride, attended the guestbook.

Organist and coordinator was Gary Sullivan of St. Louis, uncle of the bride. Assisting him as wedding coordinator was Wanda Dolansky of Piedmont, great aunt of the bride. Musical selections were Canon in D, Ave Verum Corpus, Jesus, Joy of Desiring, Ave Maria, Liebestraim, and the Bridal Chorus. The bride and groom selected &#8221The Broken Road“ by Rascal Flatts as their song.

A reception and dance was held following the wedding ceremony at the Piedmont Eagles in the banquet hall. Guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by John and Charlene Waller of Piedmont, great aunt and uncle of the bride. A beautiful 5 tier cake was decorated with white daisies, pink roses, pink carnations and was wrapped with dusty rose ribbon. It was decorated by Cindy Wood of Patterson. The banquet hall was elegantly decorated by Patty Cook, Allison Boyer, Susan Settle all of Marquand, and Jill Settle of Maryville, IL. A slide show of Jenna and Brandon’s childhood through the present was a highlight of the reception.

Jenna is a 2003 graduate of Clearwater High School and is currently employed with First State Community Bank in Fredericktown.

Brandon is a 1998 graduate of Marquand-Zion High School and a 2003 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed at The Bank of Missouri in Perryville.

After a honeymoon in Branson, the couple are making their home in Fredericktown.
