Oleta Henson

ST. LOUIS – Oleta Mae Henson passed away at Bethesda Southgate Nursing Home in St. Louis, MO on Friday, October 21, 2005, at the age of 85.

Prior to moving to St. Louis in the late 1980’s Oleta was a resident of Farmington, Missouri, and worked at Central Supply at Farmington Community Hospital and several years prior to that she worked for Trimfoot Shoe Company. Oleta was a member of the Elvins Methodist Church for many years.

Oleta was preceded in death by her husband Leonard H. Henson, Sr.; one son Ronald Dean Henson; her parents, Charles and Bertha Farmer; three brothers, Tivis Farmer; Charley (Ray) Farmer, James Farmer and one sister, Lillie Farmer.

Oleta is survived by four children – Barbara Henson of St. Louis, MO; Leonard Henson, Jr. and wife Sharon of Desloge, MO; Donald Henson and wife Sharon of Bonne Terre, MO; and Beverly Henson-Hood and husband Ralph of Springfield, MO.

She leaves behind the following grandchildren who were very dear to her: Bradley Henson, Sonya and husband, David Bahr; Joshua Hamblin, Mark Hamblin and Matthew Henson and one great-grandson, Devin Henson, as well as her step-grandchildren: Cathy and husband, Barry O’Sullivain; Vicky and husband Joe Lopez and Joey McClintock.

She is also survived by one brother, Jerry and wife Mary Farmer of Coulterville, IL., and many nieces and nephews who lovingly call her &#8220Aunt Daisy.”

Visitation is on Monday, October 24, and the funeral will be held on Tuesday October 25th at Horton & Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills, MO. Officiating will be the Reverend Vernon Long. Interment will be at St. Francois Memorial Cemetery in Bonne Terre, MO.
