It’s sure to be a &#8220spooktacular” evening in downtown Farmington tomorrow night as the Farmington Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Association and Hensco Technologies sponsor Harvest Night.

The events begin at 4 p.m. Friday with downtown trick or treating. Those wanting to participate are asked to stop by the chamber office by 4 p.m. on Friday for a trick or treat bag and a list of participating businesses. The treat bags are for children from infant to age 12. They will also receive some important Halloween safety tips from the Farmington Police Department.

At 6 p.m. the activities will begin in Long Park. The schedule for the evening is to include story tellers, strolling characters, a costume contest, plus games like pumpkin bowling and bobbing for eyeballs. There will also be crafts for kids, face painting and refreshments. A number of local businesses and banks are sponsoring these events.

A special visit will be made by the World Bird Sanctuary. They will be bringing their &#8220Birds of Prey”, which includes owls, ravens and vultures. Their visit is sponsored by Belgrade State Bank.

All of the events for the evening are free of charge.
