Scouting For Food

Pack and Troop 27 of Fredericktown, sponsored by Black River Electric Cooperation needs your help, as do many hungry people in Madison County.

Our Scouts are participating in the annual &#8220Scouting for Food” drive this fall. The 2005 food drive will take place on two consecutive Saturdays. On November 12, Scouts will place a plastic bag on your doorstep throughout the City of Fredericktown and Cobalt Village. Please fill the bags with any non-perishable food items that you can spare.

The following Saturday, November 19, please place your filled bag back onto your porch and the Scouts will return after 8:30 a.m. to pick them up.

All donated food will be distributed to the Madison County Food Bank. It is the hope that we will exceed last year’s totals helping the needy families of Madison County.

Anyone not in the City of Fredericktown or Cobalt Village distribution areas that would like to make a food donation, feel free to drop your items off at the Fredericktown Armory between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. on November 19.
