Central receives clean audit report

DESLOGE – The Central School District received a clean audit report from Daniel Jones and Associates during its monthly school board meeting this week.

&#8220We met all of the standards and no deficiencies were found,” said Central Superintendent Dr. Dave Stevens.

The board also approved the District’s Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.

&#8220Each year we evaluate the programs in all of our buildings,” Stevens said. &#8220After we evaluate the programs we develop a strategic plan for academic growth. We combine the strategic plan with our existing plan.”

In other matters the board approved the district’s report card.

&#8220We have to put our school report card on the district’s Web site each year,” Stevens said. &#8220It is mandatory each year. The report card provides information about the district including attendance, the drop-out rate, ACT scores as well as other testing scores.”

The board adopted a new Wellness Policy as mandated by &#8220No Child Left Behind.”

The board also recognized the seventh grade volleyball team for it undefeated conference championship season. Various high school students were also recognized.

No action was taken in executive session.
