One man killed in accident involving French Village man

A Bourbon man was killed and a French Village man was injured Saturday morning in Crawford County when their car went off the road and overturned.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Kenneth Endress, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital by Hudson Funeral Home. Jonathan Forsythe, 22, was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital by ambulance after suffering moderate injuries.

Forsythe was driving north on WW about three miles north of North Outer Road at 7:10 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in his 1994 Ford. The car traveled off the right side of the road and Forsythe overcorrected. That caused the car to leave the left side of the roadway and overturn. It landed in a ditch on the driver’s side of the car, according to the reports.

Endress was partially ejected from the car.

The car was listed as totaled and was towed from the scene.

A Bonne Terre woman suffered minor injuries Saturday when her car overturned into a creek in St. Francois County.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, the accident occurred at 1:40 p.m., while Katrine L. Holliday, 26, was westbound on Silver Springs Road, approximately .3 miles from Berry Road. She failed to negotiate a left turn and her 2001 Honda Civic went off the right side of the roadway, traveled down an embankment and overturned into the creek.

Holliday was taken to Mineral Area Regional Health Center by ambulance. The car was listed as totaled and was towed from the scene.
