Edward Embry

MINERAL POINT – Edward Lee Embry, 70, of Mineral Point passed away Dec. 3, 2005, at John Cochran Hospital. He was born March 19, 1935, in Boise City, Oklahoma.

Embry was a member of VFW Post 2426, Church of Christ and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Preceded in death by his parents – James and Lenoka (Arbuckle) Embry; son – Edward Lee Embry Jr.; sisters – Reva Mcintyre, Dean Kistenmacher, Polly Miles.

Survived by wife, Phylliss (Curry) Embry of Mineral Point; step-son – Michael (Kim) Lashley of Park Hills; granddaughter – Stephanie Embry; great-granddaughters – Brianna, Riley; sisters – Norma Pride of Bonne Terre, Mary McGrael of Bonne Terre; brother – Les (Rose) Embry of Bonne Terre; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation 5 p.m. Monday at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Leadwood. Services 11 a.m. Tuesday at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Leadwood, with Evangelist Bernie Crum. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army.
